from Kil'Jaeden and lastly,
`Golden Hearthstone Card: Lord Jaraxxus

-5% drop rate increase for mounts in pre-Dragonflight dungeons and raids.

I feel like this event will go under people's radars, so make sure its on yours and you don't miss it!

Enjoy!

FAQ:
What counts as 'Legacy Content'?

Legacy content refers to everything prior to Dragonflight. This content is no longer restricted by personal loot rules, this means you're not limited to just one piece of loot per boss. However, weekly raid lockouts still apply. You can only run each raid once per week per character.

Do I need to active the or earn the Collector's Bounty buff?

Nope! Just log-in on any toon. It's already applied

Turbulent Timeways leveling PSA

If you have some alts that you are sitting on, wondering when you will find the time to level them... well

NOW IS THE TIME TO LEVEL!

Remember about a month ago we had the Winds of Mysterious Fortune event? That was a great time to level... things moved quickly. It even included a fun little potion you could obtain and drink for bonus damage and increased XP gain.

But Turbulent Timeways:

BLOW THAT OUT OF THE WATER!

I'm not kidding when I say it took me around 2–4 hours of game time to level a Retribution Paladin from level 30 to level 72. Proof to the right!

Why is leveling so efficient during Turbulent Timeways?

Every time you complete a Timewalking dungeon, you receive a buff called Knowledge of Timeways. It states that each time you complete a Timewalking dungeon, you gain a 5% experience increase for killing monsters and completing quests. This stacks with each dungeon run. After reaching four stacks, the buff transforms into Mastery of Timeways, increasing the effect to 30%.

That means not only are you gaining bonus XP from the dungeon itself... You’re also getting a 30% XP boost for everything you kill in that dungeon!

Combine that with the additional XP you earn for completing the dungeon, and you can easily gain 2–3 levels per dungeon run. I cannot stress enough how quickly you can level when you're dinging multiple times per completion

Okay, that's cool and all, but what if I have leveled all my alts and don't really care for the leveling portion of this event?

Two words: Pirate Dragon.

That’s it. You do this event for the super-awesome Pirate Dragon mount you receive after getting the Mastery of Timeways buff for five weeks in a row.

Trust me! You don’t want to be the only person in your raid without this mount. 😉

FAQ:

How do I unlock Timewalking Dungeons?

There’s no unlocking required. Simply open the Group Finder, go to the “Looking for Dungeon” tab, and select “Timewalking Dungeon.”

Do Heirlooms still help during Timewalking?

Yes, Heirlooms still work. Just make sure they’re fully upgraded to your character’s current level range.

Can I solo or do I need a group?

You can queue solo, meaning the game will automatically place you into a group. However, no...you can’t run these dungeons completely alone. You have to use the “Looking for Dungeon” feature.

What expansions are featured in Turbulent Timeways?

All of them! At the time of writing, Battle for Azeroth was the first featured expansion, and now it’s Mists of Pandaria. The in-game calendar will tell you which expansion is active now and what’s coming next.

Is there a catch-up mechanic if I missed a week or two?

From what I understand, no... there isn’t. You need to participate for five weeks. You might be able to miss one week and still get the mount, but I recommend staying on top of it to make sure you earn that Pirate Dragon.

Do dungeon queues take a long time for DPS players? Should I tank or heal for faster queues?

I leveled a Retribution Paladin, and the queues were surprisingly fast. I wouldn’t worry too much about queue times right now.

Single-Button Assistant: What, why and who is it for?

What is the Single-Button Assistant?

The Single-Button Assistant was revealed during a WoWCast episode where Dratnos (@Dratnos), content creator, and Max, raid leader of Team Liquid, interviewed Ion Hazzikostas, current Game Director of World of Warcraft: The War Within

What does the Single-Button Assistant do?

"This Single-Button Assistant will cycle through a prioritized list of abilities that your character knows and automatically use them against your current target" (Blizzard).
In a nutshell, this is a button that will go through your rotation using a single key. Blizzard states it's smart
enough to know when to use AoE or single-target abilities, but the true extent of that remains to be seen.

There is a 0.3-second GCD penalty, meaning this button is very unlikely to replace your full rotation or the skill involved in mastering it.

Blizzard has confirmed that the Single-Button Assistant is not meant to replace manual rotations, but instead to give newer players a chance to compete fairly while still learning dungeon or raid mechanics.

They also stress that the tool is not designed to optimize your rotation. So if you're aiming for peak performance, you're still better off making GCD-to-GCD decisions yourself.

Design Guidelines

The Single-Button Assistant and Assisted Highlight modes do a lot of things, but they will not fully play your character for you. There are several decisions we made about our expectations for what these functions perform or recommend for you:

The Single-Button Assistant and Assisted Highlight modes will:
  • Adjust to abilities you know from changing talents and include them in the cycle of abilities used or highlighted.
  • Swap between single target and AoE damage spells based on proximity of enemies near your primary target.
The Single-Button Assistant and Assisted Highlight modes won’t:
  • Move your character around in the world, or use any mobility buttons like Blink, Sprint, or Heroic Leap.
  • Change targets for you if your target dies or you want to debuff multiple different enemies.
  • Use major offensive cooldowns like Avenging Wrath, Bladestorm, or Ascendance.
  • Interrupt enemies or otherwise use utility or crowd control spells.
  • Heal your low health character or use defensive abilities.
  • Use any trinkets, potions, tradeskill items, or other similar items in your inventory.

So as we can see, Blizzard just wants this to be a tool to learn, not to play your character.

So Who Is This Really For?

Well, besides explaining what it does and what their intended goal is, Blizzard has not come out and specifically name a target demographic for this tool. Blizzard seems to be purposely vague on who they expect to be using this tool and how the tool will be used.

For me, I find this tool to be amazing... for dummy practice. I find it incredibility comforting to be able to have a tool IN-GAME (NO WowHead guide or even a blog like mine) to learn how to play a class. I can press a single button, and see what the game recommends, lets me observe, learn, and eventually apply that knowledge in real gameplay—like Mythic+—without the tool.

A Real Concern

My concern is with players who may come to rely on it too much, to the point that they don’t feel comfortable playing without it. With the 0.3-second GCD penalty, their damage may suffer—and if they never move beyond the assist tool, it could become a crutch.

Now my concern may be misguided or I'm not trusting new players on being able to learn the game themselves, but I do know of a lot of horror stories of either current new players or people who use to be noobs who would be cussed out by more veteran players and would be turned off from World of Warcraft.

On The Flip-Side

I do believe this tool does indeed, have some good! For new players, they can easily learn their class while doing the dungeon. If a player can learn how to NOT DIE that will increase their DPS 100X!

And it’s not fully automated, either. You’ll still need to know how and when to use major cooldowns like Avatar—so there’s skill involved.

Final Note:

This feature is part of Blizzard's wider effort at "add-on disarmament" This is where Blizzard is going to be adding the most popular features that addons have into their base game. My only concern is that this Single Button Assist, may lead Blizzard down to more unhealthy path of automation.. but maybe not... they really hate single button Macro rotations...

I will create a future blog post once this feature comes out with more of my opinion.

REVIST HORRIFIC VISIONS MAY 20th 2025

I hope your main and ALTS are ready for the visions to return!

May 20th, 2025 — Horrific Visions RETURN!!!!!!!!

This is a returning feature from Battle for Azeroth patch 8.3! This time, without those annoying keys you needed just to get INTO a vision.

You can run these as MANY TIMES AS YOU LIKE!

For all of you key pushers and high-end raiders, this will still yield power gains in the form of corruptions making a return. So if the gear upgrades from the Turbo Event are still not enough to push you past a threshold you're trying to get by, corruptions should HOPEFULLY push you past that!

In the next day or so, I plan to make a guide on what rewards you can get for doing the revisited visions, but for now, bookmark this page and get ready to fight N'zoth's visions again!

Visions Return: Timer

The Winds of Mysterious Fortune END May 20th

Level Up Now!

IT'S TURBO TIME!

Time to put season two into OVERDRIVE!

Now we aren't talking about RACING, we're talking about GEARING!

I will be going over EVERYTHING (hopefully) that you can do to INCREASE THAT POWER ON YOUR MAIN! (and alts)

Let's start with the gear you are wearing!

All MYTH-level gear has received TWO BONUS TRACKS!
Myth-level gear can now be upgrade to 684 Ilvl! (see pic.) Hopefully you have been saving those Gilded Undermine Crest, because this isn't the only place you'll be spending them!

New Crafting Runes

Alongside extra tracks being added for upgrading gear, Blizzard has intoduced two new crafting runes.

-Runed Augmentation Matrix, which gives 3 ilvls on your crafted gear and, cost 15 Gilded Undermine Crest
-and Gilded Augmentation Matrix, which gives 6 ilvls on your crafted gear, and cost 30 Gilded Undermine Crest

Using these new matrices are easy! Just place them in the "Augment Beyond" optional reagent tab in the "recraft window" and ask someone to recraft your item!

You can find these items located at the same vendor where you buy the other Gilded Crest: Syentie, outside of the Crafter's Enclave

Remember those dinars Blizzard has been teasing...

Well it's about time! They have finally been added!

To unlock these dinars you want to go over to where the great vault/bank is, look to the right of the door-way and you will find a poster titled "Bounty: Liberation of Undermine". You want to click on that and accept the quest: "Ultra Prime Deluxe Turbo-Boost: Powerhouse Challenges".

This quest requires you to:

-Defeat 4 undermine raid bosses OR
-Complete 4 Mythic Dungeons.

After that you'll receive 3 "Puzzling Cartel Chips" that you can use to buy either Raid Gear or Mythic+ Gear! After this initial quest, you will only be able to get 1 chip a week, so make sure to spend wisely.

Final Note:

Other then that, make sure to have fun! The cap for all currencies have been removed and you can transfer Valorstones to other toons (w/ a 20% tax).

If you have any questions, let me know!

It's timewalking time! Classic!

Can you believe it? It's already time-walking time again? But why should you do time-walking? What is the point?

Quest and it's reward

Quest and it's reward:

Well, there are a lot of reasons to do Timewalking. One is the weekly quest:
This is quite an easy quest—simply finish 5 Classic Timewalking dungeons for a piece of 636 ilvl Undermine gear.

That being said, these dungeons are very long compared to dungeons from other Timewalking events, so make sure to set aside enough time to complete each one. You can skip bosses, but please expect to complete them. Don’t force players to skip bosses if they’d like to complete them for a chance at 606 ilvl gear.

As of patch 11.1.5 (May 13th, 2025), there is no Timewalking raid associated with Classic Timewalking, so you’ll only be running dungeons.

Besides the dungeons? What else is on offer?
Well, the normal vendor items you’d expect, including some items from the 20th WoW anniversary event last year. Below are some of the transmogs and mounts you can pick up:

If I missed anything, please let me know in the comments! Enjoy timewalking this week! :)
